Prayer Care and Share

'Prayer, Care & Share' is the neighbourhood prayer scheme we run in partnership with local Anglican churches, and with Christians from other churches in Bath who live in Weston/Newbridge.

We PRAY for the people who live in our neighbourhood. As we do so we look for opportunities to CARE for them and show God's love in action. And we pray that through our prayers and actions we will earn the chance to SHARE our faith. It is a long-term commitment which we began four years ago.

Many local Christians have committed to praying regularly for a street, community group (e.g. schools, Brownies, Playgroup etc.) or a ward/department at the Royal United Hospital. In each of the four church buildings in our area there is a large street map, on which we mark where people are praying by coloured dots.In addition, each week we deliver leaflets to homes on a street-by-street basis. The leaflet tells residents we are praying for them, and gives them the chance to make prayer requests if they wish. To see a sample prayer leaflet, click here

Three times a year we hold 'LET'S MEET UP!' - a chance for local followers of Jesus to get connected. We worship and pray, learn the latest news from the prayer scheme and the community, and generally get to know each other better. We've held these in church and community buildings - last year we made use of the local hospital, infants school and a sheltered housing scheme. It's great to be able to pray for a group of people in their own surroundings.
